I have almost forgotten how I cured that keyboard/mouse problem. Lucky that I wrote that down here. If the scroll wheel in the keyboard isn’t installed properly then the USB port in the keyboard will not work. Now at last the keyboard is fully functional and I have an optional mouse plugged into the keyboard.

Brought a Toshiba M600 notebook for home use so I took my DIY PC back to work.

Setting up wasn’t too difficult except Outlook 2007. I trust Microsoft so much that updates are downloaded and installed automatically. There is a patch KB946983 for outlook 2007 which will cause huge problem, e.g. the Office icon will be flashing, you couldn’t move your message windows or can’t even write new mail…. The cause is a invisible open dialog box not closed. This is a good reference about this. The fix is simple, uninstall, and it’ll go back to normal.

Firefox 3 download will be available tomorrow. When I pledged to download it there are about 34,441 from whole of China.
